Tribute
.:. noun .:.
A gift, payment, declaration, or other acknowledgment of gratitude, respect, or admiration. |
Breathe
.:. UK Pink Floyd tribute band .:.
A collective who share a joint passion for recreating the songs of Roger "Syd" Barrett, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Richard Wright.
Breathe are Pink Floyd fans who delight in sharing their homage with fans of Pink Floyd. We've all had great fun listening to the music and now derive huge enjoyment from recreating those sounds as we remember them. Egos are relegated to the side lines, generosity is paramount and it's the music & vibe that take centre stage.
Invitation
.:. Not solely to musicians .:.
Pipedreams...
Whither shall we go... ?
What might we do next... ?
Inevitably it is about the music and there are musicians at the core, but it is not only musicians who inspire us.
We're a UK based ensemble that has performed extensively but aside from mainstream gigging activity we also enjoy participating in other projects.
Allegedly we're the first UK Floyd Tribute act to have performed a gig streamed live over the internet.
We've played in myriad settings; pubs, clubs, indoor and outdoor theatres, ballrooms, castles, a chicken shed!
We featured in a live dramatised production of "The Wall" in conjunction with Playbox Youth Theatre.
We had the opportunity to work with Peter Wynne-Wilson, Floyd's own "Mister Oil Wheel" from the UFO days in the sixties, at The City Wakes Festival celebrating the life of Roger "Syd" Barrett.
Best of all, wherever we've been and shared our love for the music, we've also forged bonds and working relationships with other Floyd fans.
Whether you are a musician or not, if you have an interest, feel that you could contribute in some way, you have a concept that you would like to share with us, or you simply have an idea for a gig; Get in touch and tell us about your vision and we'll see if we can make it happen.
Be a part of the odyssey.
Like the Meddle album art; we're all ears.

Moksha 2k10 Tour
A clash of commitments and last minute change of schedule means that Jim Gross, regular keys player with Breathe, is not able to come on The Moksha Tour 2k10. Into the breach has stepped (or was he pushed?), our good friend Mr Anthony King.
Ant is no stranger to things Floydian, he's played with Breathe before and was also bandleader for the awesome Floyd Tribute "Great Pig in the Sky", until he decided to call a halt to that project in November last year to concentrate on playing Bass.
However it's Keys again for this one and we're really looking forward to his company for the tour. One thing is for certain; It's good to have such friends. |
