What we're all about |
| Breathe is what happens when a bunch of musicians get together and share a joint passion and respect for Pink Floyd's music with fans of Pink Floyd's music and it's been happening since 2004.

Chris Barnes .:. Vocals & Guitars
|
|
Joining in March 2009 Chris made his debut with Breathe on the Dharma Tour of India Playing to 10,000 students at his first gig wasn't what he expected when Dave rang him asking him if his passport was in date. Three rehearsals later he was bidding farewell to his family and heading off into his "dream job" playing in a Floyd tribute band.
Chris has worked in many different bands over the years playing around the UK and Europe and studied music at University.

Peter Worley .:. Vocals & Bass
|

Born in Dorset in '73. Peter was allegedly never really interested in playing bass guitar, he just happened to be available when a bassist was required and, in his own words "seemed almost adequate to the job".
His musical tastes span across all styles from Beethoven and Mozart to Porcupine Tree and Dream Theater, with a little Jean-Michel Jarre thrown in for good measure. Peter is entirely self taught and apart from the bass is also fairly average at playing electric guitar. Peter and Dave are the longest serving members of Breathe, in at the start during '04. The current line-up is much changed but the goal remains the same, to re-create the Spice Girls; note perfect!

Known to most as "Fingers", Andy was born in the Midlands with influences such as Wishbone Ash, Yes and Genesis. Previous bands have included Prog Rock, Cabaret and even Comedy. After moving further down South he was approached to do a dep for Breathe, and that was it, he caught the Floyd bug. "Breathe's attention to detail really did get a hold of me.
This is an on-going project for me to re-create the Gilmour feel and sound, a big job!
I've even grown my hair the same shade of grey!" |

Jim is a classically trained pianist turned recording/mastering engineer. He knows too much about audio jitter, watches and cameras, and nothing about football. Forever hoping to grow additional limbs, he has recently found some vintage bass pedals which might alleviate that wish for a short while. Likes: curry, Maine Coons, wine, Callum Innes, Just a Minute, and analogue mastering gear with clicky knobs. Dislikes: religion, cheap shoes, and Heat magazine.

Now a firm advocate of the "less is more" style of drumming, Dave also adopts the role of Band Mother in Breathe. Having abandoned music completely in the early '80's having had some success with Punk Pathetique combo "The Shapes". Dave picked up the sticks again at the same time that he bought a powerful motorcycle, just when he turned 40. Intense therapy has resulted in him eventually shedding the bike but the drums remain resistant to interventions.
